Eminent scholar Abdul Jabbar ‘Abid’ Laghari passes away

KARACHI – Eminent scholar, educationist and historian Dr Abdul Jabbar ‘Abid’ Laghari passed away on Wednesday morning. Having complete command on Sindhi, Persian, Arabic, Urdu and English, Dr Laghari produced excellent work in the form of more than fifty books on different topics. Dr Laghari also remained editor of renowned Sindhi Magazine Naeen Zindagi.

His death comes as a major loss to Sindhi language. “Dr Laghari’s work is unmatched. Sindh will never forget him,” Sindhi educationist and poet Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti  told Daily News.
