Two journalists, several others booked in case of child’s death due to road block

BADIN: Shadi large protest, FIR lodged on hundred accused including thirty identified and two journalists on Thursday. According to details, during the protest and sit-in held on the main Thar Coal road Badin-Mithi in the favour of breach at zero point LBOD RD. 211, where reportedly, a girl, identified as Sumera Kumbhar 06, who was being rushed to the hospital as she was in critical condition due to illness,  died due to road blockade by the hundreds of Protestants. An FIR against hundred accused including thirty identified, two journalists and other unidentified accused on the complaint of Nawaz son of Mureed Kumbhar, resident of Kaloi town, uncle of deceased girl. The FIR was lodged against two local journalists Gul Muhammad, Ali Gul Khoso and other flood affectees including Mir Muhammad Bux Talpur, Akram Junejo, Mir Murtaza Chandio, Mazhar Talpur and seventy others unidentified accused. After FIR, local police started to conduct raids amid to arrest the accused nominated in the FIR. On the other hand, citizens and journalists have also condemned the such type tactics of police to suppress the voice of the common public by lodging FIR on journalists who were reporting the public protest on the day.
