Two villagers gunned down in Shikarpur over old enmity

SHIKARPUR: Two villagers identified as Wadhayo Chandio and Irfan Ali Chandio was shot dead when who were heading towards the local court for a hearing while a woman named Ms. Rabia sustained severe bullet injuries by a few group of unknown armed assailants over an old deadly dispute between two groups of Chandio community persons at Hayat Waah [Irrigation canal] in the limits of Dakhan Police Station, here on Thursday.
SHO Dakhan Police Station confirmed the incident and told that following the information area police rushed on the spot and moved the bodies to a local hospital and handed them over to their heirs after completing necessary formalities and started a manhunt to arrest the killers.
The motive behind the incident was said to be an old hostility between two groups of Sikandar Ali and Rajib Ali Chandio group and which dispute claimed six precious lives of innocent persons so far.
Neither an FIR was registered nor police have apprehended the killers till the filing of this news story.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the people involved in hostility always prefer to kill their rival when the big events like the Eid festival come near to mourn at the houses of their rivals.
