HYDERABAD: Veteran classical singer, super star Mustafa Qureshi’s wife Rubina Qureshi passed away this morning. She was a leading classical Sindhi singer of 1960s, Rubina Qureshi.
The 81-year-old singer — known as ‘Nightingale of Sindh’ — was wife of well-known film actor Mustafa Qureshi. She rose to fame by singing classical songs aired by Radio Pakistan in 1960s. She could not proceed to Governor House on March 23 to receive her Presidential Pride of Performance Award due to her illness. The award was received by Mustafa Qureshi.
