Youth shot dead by police in Islamabad, matter becomes suspicious

 

The shooting death of a youth by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) personnel in Islamabad has raised suspicions.

According to an Islamabad police spokesman, police received a call last night that the robbers were trying to rob Shams Colony. ATS police chased the suspicious vehicle with tinted windows.

According to a police spokesman, police opened fire on the tires when the vehicle did not stop. Unfortunately, two fire engines hit the driver, killing him.

IG Islamabad took note of the incident and formed teams to investigate.

On the other hand, the spokesman of Islamabad Police said that all the police personnel involved in the incident have been taken into custody and no one who took the law into his own hands will be pardoned.

A police spokesman said the incident was being investigated and action would be taken if the facts came to light.

Post-mortem report of the slain youth
An autopsy report of Osama Nadeem, a young man shot dead by police in Islamabad, has come to light, according to which six bullets hit Osama’s body.

According to Wasim Khawaja, a spokesman for PIMS Hospital, Osama Nadeem was shot in the chest, back and head, killing him.

SP Industrial Area Zubair Sheikh said that five policemen have been arrested and an FIR has been registered against them under anti-terrorism and murder provisions in Karachi Company police station.
