HYDERABAD: Today is death anniversary of renowned musician Ghulam Nabi. He and his brother Abdul Latif were very popular in the music world.
Ghulam Nabi was born on 26th November 1926 in Hyderabad. He learnt music from his father Hyder Bux and Ustad Chhottay Ghulam Ali.
He began his career as a music director in film Pardesi. He and his brother worked as a pair and composed music for many Sindhi and Urdu films including Purani Zameen, Sorath, Badal Aeen Barsaat, Dharti Lal Kunwar, Momal Ranu and others. He composed music for many famous singers including Abida Parveen, Noor Jahan, Mala, Zubaida Begum, Master Muhammad Ibrahim, Muhammad Yousif, Suleman Shah, Runa Laila and others.
He died on 18th April 1991.
