A shocking picture from civil war-torn Yemen shakes the world

A picture of 7-year-old Fayed Samim from a hospital bed in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, has surfaced depicting the horrors of war and shaking everyone.
7-year-old Fayed has become a skeleton due to malnutrition in the country’s ongoing civil war and has no flesh on his body.

“When Fayed was brought to the hospital, he was on the verge of death, but we started treating him and now his condition is improving,” Ragha Mohammad, a member of the hospital, told a foreign news agency.

Fayed, 7, suffers from cerebral palsy and severe malnutrition and weighs 7kg, he said.

According to Dr. Raghe Mohammed, cases of malnutrition are on the rise in Yemen, and due to the civil war, most families rely on philanthropists or international aid for treatment.

On the other hand, the United Nations has also called the humanitarian crisis in Yemen the biggest crisis in the world, where 80% of the population is severely affected by the war.
