BADIN: The awareness raising seminar regarding measles rubella was held at Gym Khana Badin on Wednesday.
While addressing the participants of the seminar, Member of provincial Assembly, Mir Allah Bux Talpur said that awareness raising seminars on measles rubella should be organized at Union Councils level as peoples of the rural areas to be made aware saying that healthy children are guarantee of the healthy future of tomorrow.
Addressing the participants of the seminar, Agha Shahnawaz Khan, Deputy Commissioner Badin said that all possible arrangement regarding measles rubella has been finalized adding he underlined the role of the media in the campaign and said it would be important to make aware the people of the district Badin and hoped for immense cooperation for the media coverage of the campaign.
DC said that he had proud on the team includes of doctors, vaccinators, leady health workers, PPHI, health departments, NGOs and others who played important role for success the campaign of Covid vaccination and in achieving huge targets of Covid vaccination within short span of the time.
He hoped that all stakeholders jointly would play their role with same enthusiasm and spirit as target of measles rubella to be achieved with strong coordination of all those key stakeholders adding he assured that Assistant Commissioners of all talukas of district Badin would lead the campaign on the behalf of the revenue department and simultaneously control room would also be set up at district and taluka levels.
Dr. Imtiaz Leghari, District Health Officer (DHO) Badin said that measles rubella can affect badly to the children which can lead to the child disability adding that everyone have to put their efforts to protect the children by vaccine against measles rubella amid to save the children from fatal disease.
He also stressed over the parents and social activists of the district to support and facilitate the health teams for this national cause. DHO said that drops against polio to be administered to all those children of the age of a day to five years when vaccine of measles and rubella will be given to children of age nine months to 15 years.
The seminar was participated by large number of the citizens, Government officials, representatives of civil society, journalists and others.
Meanwhile awareness rally regarding measles rubella was also taken out led by Agha Shahnawaz Khan, Deputy Commissioner, Badin when DC Badin also inaugurated the campaign while administering vaccine of measles rubella to children in Civil Hospital Badin.
