SHIKARPUR: On the occasion of International Civil Defense Day, on the special instructions of Director Civil Defense Sindh Muhammad Khan Soomro and Controller Civil Defense Deputy Commissioner Sukkur District Rana Adeel Taswar, on behalf of Civil Defense in Sukkur as well as across Sindh. First Aid, Rescue, Fire Fighting training was organized for the students of Government (N) MK High School. A walk was also held on the occasion of International Day. Additional Controller Civil Defense Ghulam Akbar Bardo Deputy Controller Amiruddin Abbasi, Deputy Chief Warden Dr. Saeed Awan, Principal Madam Hamida Jatoi, Instructor Ali Anwar Naich, Shehzad Abbasi, Tariq Ali and others were also present on the occasion. Certificates were distributed among the trainees. Speaking on the occasion, Additional Controller Civil Defense Ghulam Akbar Bardo said that March 1, World Civil Defense Day is celebrated all over the world. Accident prevention and emergency preparedness and prevention of all these accidents on a daily basis. The second goal is to pay tribute to all the institutions and individuals who rendered their full and outstanding services in the days of calamities and wars. Civil Defense Training Institutions are established in all the provinces of Pakistan. The purpose of the training conducted in these training institutes is to create awareness among the people about Civil Defense and to prepare volunteers who can help in case of any natural calamities, accidents etc. Be able to work under you and ensure the safety of lives and property of others. Civil defense training is a must for every man and woman. In order to save their own lives and the lives of others. Civil Defense is the best organization for the service of the people.
