Bangladesh: 32 killed in boat fire

At least 32 people have been killed in a boat fire in Bangladesh.

According to foreign media, the accident took place on Friday morning where a fire broke out in a boat in southern Bangladesh in which 32 people have been confirmed dead so far.

According to media reports, about 500 people were aboard the boat, which was passing through Jhalokathi, 250 km from Dhaka. ۔

Local officials say 32 bodies have been exhumed so far after the crash, some of which burned and some drowned.

Police suspect that the fire started from the engine room and the boat was returning to Dhaka. 100 people injured in the accident have been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment, most of them in critical condition. There is a risk of increase.
