CNG Association delegation calls on Provincial Minister For Energy Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh

KARACHI: A delegation of Sindh CNG Association called on Provincial Minister For Energy Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh in Sindh Assembly, member of provincial assembly Mr. Nand Kumar Ghoklani was also present in the meeting.

The delegation apprised the provincial minister in detail about the problems faced by the CNG stations and informed him that Sindh was producing 72% gas of the total production in the country but despite this CNG stations in Sindh were being forced to buy expensive RLNG instead of supplying CNG, moreover CNG station owners are being pressured to shift their stations to RLNG stations so that such stations will be provided RLNG quota as per requirements.

The delegation said that their business is doomed due they are being forced to buy expensive RLNG instead of providing them cheap gas and the closure of CNG stations is expected to affect the livelihoods of about 200,000 people.

Businessemen demanded that CNG stations be given CNG from the gas quota generated in Sindh.

The Sindh Energy Minister said that the entire country is suffering from economic woes due to poor policies of the PTI.

He assured the delegation of cooperation from the Sindh government and said that the demands of the association are legitimate and Government of Sindh is with them.
