Condolence reference: Speakers hail services of Syed Qalandar Shah Lakyari

KOTRI: A condolence reference was held in memory of renowned scholar educationist, writer, poet and researcher Syed Qalandar Shah Lakyari here on Sunday at press club Kotri. The programme was organized by Sindhi Adabi Sangat Kotri. Speakers appreciated his services and said that Syed Qalandar Shah Lakyari worked for the betterment of education throughout his life. He was a great poet, educationist, writer and intellectual. He was a man like his name. He loved education very much and education was the focus of all his the activities. His services will always be remembered and his demise has left a vacuum which will never be filled. He belonged to a very poor  family yet he was able to rise and achieve excellence purely on the basis of his hard work. Prof Qalandar’s passing away is a great loss for our  society and regretted that we couldn’t take proper advantage of his knowledge and experience when he was alive. He might not be with us physically but he would always be among us through his remarkable work. The reference was addressed by Prof Mithal Jiskani, Prof Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti, Sayed Qutub shah Lakyari, Iram Batool Lakyari, Mehboob Sindhi, Agha Zafar, Faheem Noonari, Ashiq Dadwi, Altaf Malkani, Saib Memon, Naeem Malik, Sahbeer Bang, Akhtar Rind, Abdul Nani Azad junejo, Aijaz Tunio whereas Anu Solangi paid his tribute by Shah Lateef’s veses.
