Who knew that the disease that started in Wuhan, China in December 2019, would not only spread all over the world by next year, but it would affect millions of people and kill millions. The world had not even breathed a sigh of relief after dealing with the first wave of the corona virus as the third wave wreaked havoc. In the last 24 hours, Pakistan has recorded a record 105 deaths per day from corona virus, the highest number in a single day since June. The highest number of deaths was recorded in Sindh, followed by Punjab. According to the End Operations Center, 38,028 tests were conducted across the country in 24 hours, of which 2,731 were confirmed to be infected. According to the NCOC, the total number of deaths from corona in Pakistan has risen to 9,010, while the total number of cases has reached 445,977. Despite the news of the catastrophe, the carelessness of the people is beyond comprehension. In these lines, the people have been repeatedly appealed to take precautionary measures. It is a public negligence that now everyone in the same household is suffering from this disease. The government should take strict measures against Corona to ensure implementation of SOPs and those who show negligence in this regard. Legal action should also be taken against him. This austerity is necessary to save the lives of not just one individual but of the entire nation. The people should also prove that they are responsible citizens and treat this disease as a disease and strictly follow Corona SOPs.
