Father of Five Commits Suicide in Tando Hafiz Shah

THATTA: A middle-aged man Shahifq Mirbahr in Tando Hafiz Shah a locality near Jhirk town of district Thatta, committed suicide in the early hours of Sunday allegedly due to not being able to make both ends meet.
Area SHO Said that; The deceased whose age was believed to be around 50 and was father of 5 children ended his life by hanging himself from a tree outside his house in the early hours of the day.
Sources said that he took the extreme step owing to joblessness and acute financial crisis and as a result of that, his family was facing starvation. The body was taken for post-mortem to the Rural Health center Jhirk and later handed over to the heirs.
A social activist on request of anonymity told this correspondent that the concerned authorities must put their heads together to curb the growing trend of suicides in the area.
