Gaza’s security to be controlled by Israel after war ends: Netanyahu

Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has announced that following the conclusion of the war with Hamas, the Israeli army will retain control over Gaza’s security. He firmly dismissed the idea of entrusting this responsibility to an international force, emphasizing the necessity for Gaza to be demilitarized after the conflict concludes. Netanyahu asserted that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are the sole entity capable of ensuring the demilitarization of Gaza, stating that no international force should be tasked with this responsibility. He cited previous instances where international forces were involved in demilitarization efforts in other regions and expressed reluctance to consider alternative arrangements.
