Gunmen rob off six Shikarpur journalists

SHIKARPUR: The journalists of Shikarpur, representatives of civil society, notables of Shikarpur city recorded a mammoth protest to show their grief anger over looting six senior journalists at gunpoint next to Jatoi House Shikarpur, in the limits of New Faujdari Police Station, here on late other days.
According to reports, six senior journalists including Sultan Rind, Javeed Rahoojo, Abdul Khalique Soomro, Sultan Soomro, Rasheed Jamro and Zahid Sanjrani was planned to take tea after completing “General Ajilas” held at Shikarpur Press Club, but when they were coming back after taking tea at a local hotel, all of six journalists intercepted by a few armed assailants and managed to escape after looting expensive mobile phones, cash, and other articles.
The journalists of Shikarpur blocked the road and demanded the arrest of criminals, after hearing the news of looting the journalists, the representatives of political, religious, national organizations, city society and people belonging to different walk of life gathered at Shikarpur Press Club and recorded their protest and termed that SSP Shikarpur Kamran Nawaz Panjotha has been failed to maintain law and order situation in Shikarpur and raised their voice against the incident of looting senior journalists and announced dateline for two days and threatened that if their looted articles were not recovered within two days then they will hold protest in front of SSP office Shikarpur.
The people of Shikarpur expressed their anger over looting the senior journalists and termed influential persons are trying to harass the journalists.
