Protest rally against law and order situation in Shikarpur held

SHIKARPUR: A protest demonstration was held at Indus Highway Shikarpur to restore peace, maintain law and order situation and recovery of two kidnappees at Indus Highway and protesters closed the Indus highway for vehicular heading to Punjab, Balochistan provinces to record their protest against worsening situation of law and order situation in Shikarpur, here on Thursday.
Rally was led by Riaz Chandio, the chairman Jeay Sindh Mahaz Sindh, and others.
Speaking on the occasion Riaz Chandio, Mian Zafar Alvi, Asghar Pahore, Humeer Chandio, Deedar Mirani, A. Qadir Pathan, Abdul Ghani Jakhro, Eijaz Kakepoto, Sultan Rind, Asadullah Soomro, Kashif Memon, and others said that the bird of peace has flown from Shikarpur while the incidents of kidnapping for ransom, snatching motorcycles, incidents of theft, and other crimes are raising day by day, but Shikarpur police have completely failed to maintain law and order situation in the district and demanded the high ups to take notice of the day by day worsening situation of law and order and lawlessness and play their role to recover kidnapped youths from the clutches of the kidnappers so that people of Shikarpur could take of sigh of relief and threatened if the peace was not restored in the district and kidnappeess were not recovered the protest demonstration would be increased across Sindh for the betterment of the people of Shikarpur.
Sultan Rind said that Shikarpur was called Paris of Sindh, but unfortunately, it termed the hub of crimes, but no one cares and expressed his great reservations.
It is worthwhile to mention here that two persons named Asad Arain and Shahid Qureshi have been kidnapped a couple of days ago, but the Shikarpur police are clueless so far.
A large number of people and representatives belonging to Jeay Sindh Mahaz, Save Shikarpur, Qomi Awami Tehreek, Sindh Mallah Forum, Awami Etihad, Jamaat-e-Islami, young rising stars, Jeay Sindh Qomi Movement, Sindhi Adabi Sangat, and other city organizations participated in the protest rally and raised their voice against lawlessness.
