HANDS holds National Annual Award ceremony in Badin

BADIN: The well known organization HANDS held National Annual Award ceremony in District Council hall Badin.
The gorgeous event was participated by citizens, social activists, officials of concerned departments, journalists and others.
While addressing the event Additional Director, Social Welfare, Nafeesa Qurban Soomro said HANDS was founded by Professor A. G Biloo in the year 1979 and evolved in years as one of the largest and leading Non-Profit organization of Pakistan with network of more than 35 branches and access of 29 million population in 59 districts across the country.
Ms. Soomro said they initiated in Badin from Tawana Pakistan project and more than 28 projects were successfully completed in Badin and hundreds of people were benefited. She said they have valuable projects including cattle, sewing machines, micro agriculture loans and others.
The District Executive Manager, Hyder Ali Panhwar said HANDS was working in Pakistan for more than four decades and serving people without any discrimination of colour, caste, community and religion. He said ration was distributed among the hundreds of families amid lock down due to COVID-19 pandemic. The ceremony was also participated by District Information officer, Sarfraz Samoon, Deputy Director, Social Welfare, Abdul Ghaffar Khoso, Head of Health department, HANDS, Humaira Naeem, Head of LET, Rahela, Population officer, Asghar Notkani and others.
