IHC declares Nawaz Sharif a proclaimed offender

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif a proclaimed offender in Azizia and Avonfield references.

A bench of Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani in the Islamabad High Court heard the appeals of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif against his conviction in Azizia and Avonfield references.

Witness Mubashir Khan told the court that he had received Nawaz Sharif’s advertisements from this court. He had sent the advertisements from the Foreign Office to the Pakistan High Commission in London.

He said that the Pakistan High Commission replied to the Foreign Office on November 9, informing Nawaz Sharif about the compliance of advertisements through Royal Mail and receiving a certified copy of compliance with advertisements through Royal Mail on November 30. ۔
