BADIN: People of Badin and Government officials of district Badin celebrated Independence Day by attending flag hoisting ceremony, citizens of the district added colour to the celebration in their own enthusiastic and innovative way.
The day dawned with official event in the district Badin. Citizens, representatives of civil society, journalists, officials of the district administration, education department, health Department, District Council, Municipal Committee, and police officers raised the country’s flag at event organised at government Gym Khana Badin and planted the trees.
Government offices all over district were illuminated in green and white. The main ceremony was held in Gymkhana Hall Badin.
The Deputy Commissioner Badin, Agha Shahnawaz Khan, SSP Badin, Shabir Ahmed Sethar and Cournal Shahid Satti, 32 Wing Commander, Pak Rangers hoisted the national flag.
The police and Pak Army presented guard of honour and salute. The students of different schools presented national songs which were lauded by the participants. The achievement awards were awarded to different personalities of various fields including president Badin press club, Tanveer Ahmed Arain, president, Aiwan-e-Sahafat, Haji Khalid Mehmood Ghuman, Hameed Soomro, Shafi Junejo, Sawan Khaskheli, Professor Dr. Tufail Ahmed Chandio, Dr. Karim Bux Gadahi, Sunny Bhambhro and others while award for late Allah Rakhio Naeem was received by his son Jahanzeb Mallah and award for late Hanif Zai was received by his son, Aijaz Hanif Zai.
While addressing Deputy Commissioner Badin, Agha Shahnawaz Khan said that each and every Pakistani must play part for the development of beloved homeland and welfare of the masses.
Mr. Agha Shahnawaz said if we would work honestly and sincerely we will achieve the glory and goal. The Deputy Commissioner said every citizen must get vaccinated and follow the SOPs to prevent COVID-19.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized active part to tackle Polio and COVID-19 as national campaign.
The Deputy Commissioner Badin and SSP Badin also visited Indus hospital Badin and District Jail and distributed sweet and fruit among the prisoners and patients admitted in the hospital.
The tree plantation was also inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Badin, SSP Badin and Cournal Shahid Satti, 32 Wing Commander, Pak Rangers in the premises of SSP office.
On the other hand, the ceremonies of independence day were also held in Tando Bago, Talhar, Matli, Golarchi and other localities across the district while students and teachers including other staff celebrated the day with national zeal and fervor in different educational institutions of the Badin district.
