THATTA: A large number of Provincial government employees on call of Sindh Grand Employees Alliance Thatta wing took out a rally and staged a protest demonstration outside Makli press club here on Tuesday for the fulfillment of demands as enunciated in the charter of demand.
The protest was led by leaders of the employees’ alliance Allaudin Brohi, Wali Mohammad Jakhro, Syed Arshad Shah, Ali Mohammad Somro, and others who termed the policies of the provincial as well as the federal government a cruel joke with the employees of Sindh.
Syed Arshad Shah said that the employees of Sindh were facing grave injustice on the part of the provincial government adding that the employees in other provinces of the country particularly in KPK and Punjab were getting their due rights.
An active member of the Alliance Allaudin Brohi said Their demands were according to the charter to which the Sindh government had agreed. He furthers said that despite all these issues they were carrying out their responsibilities honestly but the Sindh government had turned a blind eye over their issues.
They demanded a 25 percent increase in their salaries, health-cards for employees, promotion as per time scale, regularization of contract employees, and other privileges according to the charter of demands. They warned to stage a sit-in outside CM house if their demands were not met.
