Leading cleric Zar Wali Khan dies of the corona virus

KARACHI: Shaykh-ul-Hadith wal-Tafsir Hazrat Mufti Zar Wali Khan, the superintendent of Jamia Ahsan-ul-Uloom Karachi, passed away. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Karachi.

According to religious scholar Mufti Zubair, Maulana Zar Wali was undergoing treatment in Indus Hospital’s Corona ward where he passed away today.
According to a hospital spokesman, Mufti Zarroli died of corona.

Mufti Zar Wali was born in 1953 in the town of Jahangra in Swabi district. He received his Islamic studies from Banuri Town Gurumandar.

He established a madrassa called Ahsan-ul-Uloom in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi in 1978. He was associated with the field of teaching and learning all his life.

Mufti Noman Naeem, the superintendent of Banuria International University, and the superintendents of other religious schools have expressed their condolences on the demise of Mufti Zarali.

Funeral prayers of Mufti Zarroli will be offered tomorrow afternoon.
