Omicron in Pakistan

Dr Summaya Ali

The Corona epidemic is changing its genes and is invading the planet with greater intensity and speed. The world was still struggling with its delta variant when a variant named Omicron was confirmed in South Africa on November 26, according to the World Health Organization. His cases have doubled in the last three days. As of December 18, the Omecron variant had spread to 89 countries. It is a matter of concern that even countries whose populations have improved after vaccination are not immune to the Omecron variant. According to the World Health Organization, The bell is ringing and it could affect the health systems of many countries, so experts in most countries of the world have advised people to take three doses of vaccine to protect against omecron and said that those who have taken two doses should get booster dose. Three suspected cases of omecron have been reported in Pakistan as well, however, its prevalence is less in Pakistan than in other countries. And in the light of national statistics, experts deny this, saying “the deaths of Pakistanis were not because of Corona but because of the complications that resulted from them turning to hospitals”. Globally, it has been said for a long time that we now have such epidemics Life has to be learned, and Corona’s changing appearance seems to confirm this attack. And you have to try to protect yourself by applying booster dose and above all you have to take precaution.
