PDM announces to hold Multan jalsa anyhow

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the Pakistan Democratic Moment (PDM) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), a coalition of opposition parties, said that a rally would be held in Multan tomorrow.

Tensions have risen since the Punjab government refused to allow the opposition alliance to hold a rally on November 30 and opposition activists stormed the Qila Kahna Qasim Bagh Stadium yesterday.

After the police evacuated the stadium and arrested the workers last night, a meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement was held in Multan in which Yousuf Raza Gilani and Rana Sanaullah and others were present.
