PM congratulates FBR for exceeding target tax

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected Rs 1,395 billion in revenue in the first quarter of the current financial year.

He said that the revenue of FBR has increased by 38% as compared to last year on which he congratulated the nation. In the first three months of the financial year, tax collections recorded an increase of 38.3%.

According to a statement issued by the FBR, the target for tax collection from July to August was Rs 1,211 billion. The FBR says that the first quarter tax collections show that the FBR is Rs 5,829 billion Will easily meet its target of Rs 535 billion in September alone, an increase of 31.2 per cent.
