US will not remain silent on anti-Pakistan bill introduced in Senate: Foreign Minister

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the US Senators will not remain silent on the proposed bill on Afghanistan.

Responding to questions from journalists during a press conference with the Danish Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that lobbies in the United States and our neighbors are behind the bill, Congress needs to understand Pakistan’s role in the Afghan peace process. Qureshi said that making Pakistan a scapegoat on the issue of Afghanistan was not the solution to the problem.

On the occasion, the Foreign Minister said that he was grateful to Denmark for supporting Pakistan for GSP Plus status, adding that a Green Partnership Agreement had been signed between Pakistan and Denmark.
