SBP Deputy Governor Seema Kamil says women can borrow up to Rs 5 million at 5% interest for business.

Speaking on Geo News program Geo Pakistan, Seema Kamil said that women run the house with limited resources and run the country from home.

He said that women can open “Easy Account” in any bank for Rs. 100, Easy Account can be opened only on ID card, there are no charges for opening an account and there is no minimum deposit requirement. do not have.

The Deputy Governor SBP said that an amount of Rs. 5 lakh per month can be deposited and withdrawn in a simple account, in case of more than 5 lakh transactions, proof of income has to be given.

He said that easy account is for everyone, students can also open it, easy account also earns profit.

‘Only 18% of women have active bank accounts compared to 51% of men’

Seema Kamil said that women account for 18% and men account for 51% in the country. Banks provide loans for education, marriage and house building, but women have no knowledge. The rate for women business is 5%. You can take a loan of up to Rs 5 million on interest.

He said that women can avail loans up to Rs. 1 million without collateral from the Prime Minister’s Successful Youth Scheme.

Deputy Governor SBP said that SBP has launched Financial Literacy Program for the awareness of women, through which awareness will be provided to one million people of which 50% will be women.

He said that women play a major role in the development of agriculture, a large number of women are associated with agriculture, 60,000 accounts have been opened in Roshan Digital Account in three months.
