Possible efforts being taken to provide maximum relief to citizens: Commissioner Hyderabad

BADIN: Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad, Bilal Ahmed Memon, while visiting ‘Ramzan Bachat Bazaar’ in Taluka Matli, Badin and Shaheed Fazal Rahu district Badin set up by district Administration on Tuesday said that all possible efforts were being taken to provide maximum relief to the citizens of Hyderabad division including district Badin.
Commissioner added that on the directives of the Sindh Government, district administration had set up ‘Ramzan Bachat Bazaar’ amid to provide relief to the general public where availability of all edible items and essential commodities were being assured. Stressing over the concerned authorities, Commissioner said that they must assure availability of edible items and essential commodities on Govt notified adorable rates.
Talking with media, Divisional Commissioner said inflation and overpricing was not only affected people of district or division but entire country were facing inflation and overpricing because of floods which sudden destroyed standing crops on thousands of acrs and also devaluing of Pakistan rupees saying that provincial Government vowed to provide maximum level relief to the people by setting up “Bachat Bazaars’. He expressed that thirty five Bachat Bazaars have been set up in collaboration with public, traders and Utility Corporation in nine districts of Hyderabad division.
Commissioner said that controlling the overpricing of the essential commodities, crack down over profiteers has been started before fifteen days of holy month of Ramzan. He also underlined the need of the cooperation of the traders and business men as proper relief to be provide to the poor and common people. Commissioner told that Sindh Government under Income Support Program was providing the subsidy to 7.8 million families per two thousands as subsidy of flour.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Badin, Agha Shahnawaz Khan said that district administration has received bundles of complaints against device holders regarding the deduction in stipend of poor women. Adding DC Badin said that on complaints more than six devices have been blocked in Taluka Shaheed Fazal Rahu and same process was also continued.
Agha Shahnawaz Khan also urged shopkeepers of Badin to avoid charging overprice and hoarding in the holy month saying that district administration was taking every possible step for controlling hoarding and profiteering. Raids were being conducted by concerned officers on daily basis, he added.
Additional Deputy Commissioner-I, Najeeb Rehman Jamali, Regional Manager, Utility Stores, Javid Zardari, Additional Director, Agriculture, Imtiaz Ali Bhutto, Assistant Commissioner Badin, Muhammad Majid Altaf, Mukhtiarkar Badin, Umar Memon, Information Officer, Sarfraz Samoon and other concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
