Postponing the Pakistan Super League

By: Ali Asghar Bhatti

Postponing the Pakistan Super League (PSL) indefinitely was undoubtedly a painful decision for the Pakistan Cricket Board, but it became inevitable after three positives from Kovd19’s Test two teams came in positive. Islamabad United’s Hassan Ali, Talat Hussain and Lahore Qalandars will be in Quarantina for ten days. After the results of the tests of these three players, seven players and one official in the PSL have been confirmed to be affected by Corona. It is said that the hotel where the teams are staying was not fully implemented, and all six teams participated in a player’s birthday party despite repeated warnings of the precautionary requirements. Accelerated measures have been decided for PCR testing, corona vaccine and isolation facilities. The decision certainly brought financial loss, loss of time and disappointment to the fans, but the board officials rightly made it clear that it was our responsibility to take the best protective measures for the health of the players and now the top priority is to keep the players healthy. Send home in style. The PCB had worked hard to hold these matches. Now in the new situation, a lot has to be done, including refunding the tickets for the timely wrap. The most important thing is to take a deeper look at your faults and other issues and plan to complete the event. As far as the country is concerned with the spread of Corona homeland, 30% of the cases reported in a week is alarming and this carelessness should be prevented at all places for some days.
