Prime Minister Youth Program-Weightlifting League Sindh concludes

KHAIRPUR :The Prime Minister Youth Program-Weightlifting (Provincial) League Sindh Competition organized by the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur in collaboration with Higher Education Commission, Islamabad concluded at Syed Qaim Ali Shah Indoor Sports Complex of University. Mr. Saifullah Abro, Deputy Commissioner, Khairpur was the chief guest of the concluding ceremony.

Talking to the participants and sportsmen, Mr. Saifullah Abro said that such types of events are positive activities. Since Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur during the tenure of incumbent Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto is organizing multidimensional curricular and co-curricular activities at the campus. He said sports provide ethics, skills, coordination, cooperation, time management and team management. Mr. Abro said with the outcome of sports, the tolerant society could be promoted. He said University is also hub of such activities. Mr. Abro congratulated the 20 winner students of the 5 regions who will participate at national level from Sindh Province at Lahore.
Larkana scored 110 points and secured first position, Karachi scored 61 points and secured second position while Shaheed Benazirabad scored 50 points and secured third position.
Mr. Saifullah Abro, Deputy Commissioner Khairpur, Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Syed Baqir Ali Shah Chairman Sports and Mr. Muhammad Murad Pirzada Director Physical Education distributed shields, cash prizes and certificates among the winners.

Earlier, Mr. Muhammad Murad Pirzada, Director Physical Education welcomed the guests and participants in concluding session.

Prof. Dr. Amir Hussain Shar, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. Dr. Akhtiar Ali Ghumro, Director Institute of Commerce, Prof. Dr. Samina Rajper, Director ORIC, Prof. Dr. Hissamuddin Shaikh, Mr. Ishrat Ali Mirani, Mr. Ghulam Mujtaba Jatoi, Deputy Director Physical Education, Mr. Taj Muhammad Mahar, Sports Officers, teachers, officers, employees and students attended the concluding ceremony.
