Project Presentation on Social & Religious Tolerance:

KHAIRPUR: The Project Presentation on Social and Religious Tolerance: A Case Study of Khairpur City was delivered in the Department of Pakistan Studies, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences presided the event.
Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari said social and religious tolerance is the need of the hour. Dr. Lashari said Islam is the religion of peace, and harmony. It teaches interfaith dialogue. He said youth can play their dynamic role in the social and religious tolerance. Dr. Lashari appreciated the efforts of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto for promoting such healthy and co-curricular activities for the capacity building of the students. Dr. Lashari said that this project presentation is in line with the Social Action Plan (SAP) of Inter-University Consortium for the Promotion of Social Sciences (IUCPSS).

Dr. Inayatullah Bhatti, Incharge Department of Pakistan Studies delivered welcome address. He shed light on the significance of social and religious tolerance in the society. He said it our collective responsibility to maintain peace, cooperation and tranquility in the society.

Earlier, Mr. Abdul Qadeer Kandhro, Mr. Abdul Qadeer Mari and Mr. Muhammad Hashim Shar, Students B.S Part-III delivered comprehensive presentation on the topic. They shed light on the status of religious and social tolerance at Khairpur City and presented their recommendations to make peaceful and tolerant society.
A large number of teachers and students attended the presentation.
