Rate of Omicron cases in Karachi is 8.9%, says Special Assistant for Health

Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan for Health, said that health card holders can seek treatment in certain private hospitals in any city of the country, including Karachi.

Speaking on a news channel’s morning show , Dr. Faisal Sultan said that patients undergoing treatment in certain hospitals would not be paid for the treatment, the hospital and the department appointed by the government would take care of the matter itself.
Confirming the fifth wave of Corona in Pakistan, Dr. Faisal Sultan said that cases of Omicron are coming from everywhere, the rate of positive Omicron variant cases in Karachi is 8.9% while in Lahore and Peshawar it is 2.2%.

The Special Assistant further said that vaccinated people are also suffering from corona but the rate is low, the current situation will be reviewed in the NCOC meeting.
