JACOBABAD: Community Development Foundation in collaboration with Pooj Hindu General Panchait organized an Awareness Seminar for general public on Sindh Hindu Marriage Act 2016 and protection of religious minorties in Pakistan held at Hindu Panchait Hall Jacobabad . A large number of Hindu Community, bussiness professionals, Civil Society leaders and Media participated in the Seminar. At this ocasion Jan Odhano , Advocate GM Sommro and Nadeem Bahrani briefed about the existing protection laws in Pakistan and Sindh particularly Hindu Marraige act and Law for the protection of property of minorties . Mr. Ahmed Ali Brohi president Chambers of commerce , Agha Ghazanfar chairmain civil society Jacobabd , Abdul Haee Soomro president Mehran Social Forum , Siri chand bhawnani , Dr Raj Kumar , Ratan lal , Devanand and other while addressing the gathering said that in pakistan federal government and particularly Sindh government have passed progressive laws for the protection of religious minorties under these laws minority commisions have been established. they sought need of strenthen the role of minority commision and make them financially soud and independent for easy access and enhancing the coverage to most marginalized minorty population living in the for flung areas of country . The speakers also demaded from the all provinces to formulate laws for religious minorty and protection and implement these laws in true sprit.
