SHIKARPUR: On the strict directions issued by newly posted SSP Shikarpur Captain R Ameer Saud Magsi, to eliminate criminals from grass route level in this connection Khanpur police during patrolling foiled a bid of a robbery at Shahzaod Laro at Kashmore-Shikarpur Indus Highway in the limits of Khanpur Police Station, here on Tuesday.
According to police, armed assailants stopped a car at gunpoint which was heading towards Shikarpur and robbers were busy looting car occupants named Ghulab Shah and Manzoor Bhayo, when patrolling police party rushed on the spot and succeeded in arresting three robbers named Wajid Ali Jatoi, Rasheed Shar and the identification of the third robber could not be ascertained, after encounter police moved the robbers to Khanpur Taluka Hospital for medical treatment and recovered 2 TT Pistols and one Kalashnikov, however, police said that robber Wajid Ali Jatoi was wanted to police in several cases registered against him at Rustam Police Station.
