Solidarity with Kashmiri People; Peace Walk held in Khairpur

KHAIRPUR :A Peace Walk in solidarity with Kashmiri People was taken out from the Institute of International Relations (I.R) and Discussion Forum, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur which was culminated at the Administration Block. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor addressed the participants of the walk.

Talking to the participants, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said that the Kashmiri People have been deprived from their legitimate Right of Self-Determination. It is the responsibility of United Nations to support the genuine case of Kashmiri People. It is lamented that several resolutions have been passed by the United Nations for the Right of Self-Determination of Kashmiri People but these have been not materialized. Dr. Ibupoto appreciated the efforts of Govt. of Pakistan for pleading the case of Kashmiri People in the comity of the nations and at the U.N and different forums. The Vice Chancellor lauded the efforts of Director Institute of I.R Prof. Dr. Amir Ahmed Ibupoto and Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari for organizing this solidarity walk.

Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences narrated the plight of Kashmiri People facing Indian atrocities and blatant violation of Human Rights. He said the Indian siege and surge is continue in the occupied valley.

Prof. Dr. Amir Ahmed Khuhro said the Kashmiri People have been deprived their political, economic, social and cultural rights by the Indian Government. He stressed on the world community to support the genuine cause of Kashmiri People for their independence.

Dr. Inayatullah Bhatti, Incharge Department of Pakistan Studies also shed light on the historical perspective of Kashmir issue and its genesis. He demanded for the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir problem.

Mr. Sarfaraz Ali Korejo, Assistant Professor, Institute of I.R also spoke on this occasion. He commended the efforts of Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto for supporting in organizing the healthy activities at the campus.

Ms. Shaherbano Soomro Students of B.S-IV also spoke on this occasion. She said women and children are facing more miserable condition in the wake of Lock Down in occupied valley.

Prof. Dr. Mushtaque Ali Jakhrani, Dr. Liaquat Ali Chandio, Mr. Ishrat Ali Mirani, Mr. Mureed Hussain Ibupoto, Registrar, Mr. Ali Raza Lashari and large number of students attended the walk.
