South Korea: Thieves rented the entire hotel to gain access to the oil pipeline

In South Korea, thieves rented an entire hotel to dig a tunnel to access an oil pipeline.

In the city of Cheongju, eight suspects rented a hotel and spent a month digging a secret tunnel to gain access to a nearby oil pipeline.
The suspects, who have been arrested, are said to have been hatched by a former employee of Korea’s state-owned oil company who was fired for stealing oil.

According to media reports, the suspects rented the hotel for 4.5 million won per month.

In a month, the accused dug 10 meters deep and reached the oil pipeline.

They were just celebrating when a raid took place and everyone was arrested.
