SU, Laar Campus Badin celebrates Sindhi Cultural Day

BADIN: Sindh University, Laar Campus Badin organized an impressive event to celebrate the “Sindhi Cultural Day’ on Thursday at Laar Campus Badin which was participated by large number of students of Business Administration, Computer Science, Commerce and English Departments of the Sindhi University, Laar Campus, Badin.
The delighted crowds of students of University Laar Campus were donning the cultural dresses with Sindhi topi & Ajrak the traditional block-printed shawls to spotlight the centuries-old rich culture of Sindh participated the Sindhi Cultural event.
While addressing the participants of the event, speakers including Hakim Ali Nohrio, Dr. GM Shah, Dr. Muhammad Nawaz Baloch, Dr. Tufail Ahmed Chandio and others said “Sindh is the land of peace and love and people of Sindh believe in peace, equality, democracy, tolerance and justice”.
“We feel proud of our millennia old civilization of Sindhi and the culture which has existed and evolved through the centuries,” speakers added.
They expressed that the culture day of Sindh will also contribute to promote the value of our cultural heritage among new generations adding that Sindh province can be develop through the ensuring education to all”.
The event was organized under the supervision of Dr. Tufail Ahmed Chandio, Fozia Talpur, Professor Azeem Akhtar and others.
On the occasion, large number of the students of the different departments of Laar Campus also delivered their speeches and presented ‘Tableaus and Sindhi folk songs.
