SUJAWAL: Session Court Sujawal convicted Musa Somro in a rape case here on Thursday
An Additional Session Judge awarded life imprisonment to the accused and imposed RS.3 lakh fine on him. He subjected a middle-aged woman Asiyat sommro to rape and grievous torture 3 years back in 2017 within the remits of Jokh-Sharif Police station.
Uncle of the victim Ali Nawaz Somro lodged the FIR against the gruesome incident at the area,s police station. The sources said that; He was compelled to withdraw the case but he did not and carried on his struggle for Justice.
The verdict of the case was read out in the presence of Musa Somro, in pursuance of that verdict he had been sent to central prison Hyderabad, where he would serve the term of his imprisonment
One of the eminent lawyers of the area Mr. Aijaz Jumani and his associate Zain-ul-Abidin Jamari pleaded the case on behalf of the complainant. They received tumultuous appreciation from the people hailing from different shades of life for the efforts they had made for the provision of justice to the rape victim
