BADIN: The 89th anniversary of spiritual father of Laar, Khan Bahadur Mir Ghulam Muhammad Khan Talpur was observed in MGM Higher Secondary School auditorium hall Tando Bago here on Friday.
The event was participated by large number of students, teachers, citizens, representatives of political parties, social activists, intellectuals, literary figures, writer, authors and people from different walks of life.
While addressing the participants of the gathering MNA, Mir Ghulam Ali Talpur, PPP General Secretary, district Badin, Haji Sain Bux Jamali, PPP representative Mir Waqar Ahmed Talpur, Piyar Ali Khuwaja, Dilbar Sindhi, Zubair Jafferani, Sharfuddin Talpur, Khadim Talpur, Mir Kashif Talpur, Usman Rahokro, Nasrullah Jarwar, Mir Muhammad Bux Talpur, Allah Bachayo Rahokro and others paid rich tributes to Khan Bahadur Mir Ghulam Muhammad Khan Talpur saying that during the year 1920, Mir Ghulam Muhammad Khan Talpur established historical and immense institution from his own expenses to benefit thousands of people not only Badin but other districts of the province to lit the candle of literacy and defeat darkness of illiteracy from the society.
They said Khan Bahadur Mir Ghulam Muhammad Khan Talpur was and would remain hero of the nation who rendered his services for the betterment, welfare and glowing future of backward areas. They said Khan Bahadur’s generosity for establishment of such institution and girls school in Mir Mohalla of the city, primary school in nearby village of Tando Bago, maternity home and other humanitarian services would never be forgotten and will remain in the hearts of thousands for his inimitable and nonpareil services.
