Shutter-Down Strike Observed In Jati Over Increase in Drug Sale-Consumption

SUJAWAL: Shutters remained down, traffic remained thin and business activities remained suspended in Jati the coastal town of district Sujawal on Friday to observe a strike against the increase in the sale and consumption of drugs.
Members of civil society, town action committee, traders, and students took to the streets against the rising trend of drug consumption and its open sale. Wafa Ghulam Hussain Shah, Zahid Ishaq Soomro, and Adil laghari who were leading the procession said that they had taken the initiative to create awareness against drug abuse among people of the low lying area and to wage the war against those black sheep in the area backing and facilitating drug peddlers.
Adil Laghari said that; they had been receiving threats of dire consequences for the drive they had launched. He said that; they would carry on the struggle against the malediction that had brought drastic effect to the young generation.
Syed Wafa Shah said that; People of Jati were now aware and they would not buckle down before the forces facilitating the drug suppliers.
The rally that was taken out from Hussaini Imam Bargah culminated at Madani chowk where participants raised slogans against drug peddlers and their facilitators.
