Three villagers killed in firing yesterday, were dacoits, say police

SHIKARPUR: Three of five villagers killed, yesterday during firing erupted between Dal and Juneja communities over a petty issue of the mobile phone next to Katcha area of Madeji town in the limits of New Amrote, were declared as dacoits, it was confirmed by the PRO of SSP Shikarpur Kamran Nawaz Panjotha in its statement issued by his PRO Shikarpur, here on Saturday.
According to the police that Ghulam Asghar Junejo, was wanted to Gaheja police in four criminal cases under section 324,353,337,147,148,149, Sadar Junejo was wanted to Jhabar Shaikh police in two criminal cases under section 353,224,225,337,395,397, and 114 while Rasool Bakhsh Junejo was wanted to Jhabhar Shaikh police in one criminal case under section 395, 397 and 114.
Furthermore, Shikarpur police has started its investigation into the matter.
It is worthwhile to mention here that yesterday a deadly dispute erupted between two communities belonging to Dal and Juneja groups over a trivial issue which claimed five lives and left three injured besides DIG Police Larkana Nasir Aftab Pathan took notice of the dispute and visited the area and directed the SSP Shikarpur to enlarge investigation and hold a transparent inquiry into the matter and maintain law and order situation.
After the strict direction of DIG Police Larkana, SSP Shikarpur initiated necessary steps and deputed two DSPs to ascertain genuine issues and maintain the law and order situation in the area for the welfare of the people of the surrounding area.
Apart from this, both rival groups hold separate funeral ceremonies in their areas therefore police remain active to avoid further loss of lives.
Neither an FIR was lodged nor police have arrested any suspect till filling of this file.
