Supporters of President Trump and some extremists are threatening to assassinate US Vice President Mike Pence.
According to foreign media reports, threats are being made to the vice president to confirm victory in the election of newly elected President Joe Biden.
On the other hand, the newly elected US President who is on security alert all over the United States including Washington before Biden’s swearing in, thousands of security personnel are deployed across the United States while the capital Washington is in a state of lockdown, several important roads and lanes are closed.
No major incidents were reported in other major cities, including Washington, D.C., over the weekend, with National Guard deployed in more than a dozen states, including Michigan, Virginia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Washington, in anticipation of possible armed protests.
Newly elected US President Joe Biden will be sworn in on January 20.
