The Karachi Express from Karachi to Lahore crashed between Rohri and Pinnu Aqil. In the accident, 9 bogies of the train derailed out of which 4 fell into a ditch.
According to railway officials, the accident took place 25 km from Sukkur, while eyewitnesses said that most of the passengers were asleep at the time of the accident.

According to officials, the rescue operation has been completed and the down track has been cleared after repairs while the rehabilitation work of the track from Karachi to Punjab has been started. At present, trains are plying from the single track. ۔
