An alarming increase in corona

By: Muhammad Ibrahim Bhatti

Like many other countries in the world, the second wave of corona virus has wreaked havoc in Pakistan and the number of cases of corona virus is increasing alarmingly. With more than 2165 positive cases of Corona on record in the last 24 hours, the total number of active cases of Covid 19 in Pakistan has reached 24938 out of which 204 patients are on ventilator. According to the latest figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 17 Corona patients undergoing treatment at various hospitals lost their lives on Saturday, including senior Geo News reporter Arshad Waheed Chaudhry. Recently, Arshad Waheed Chaudhry was diagnosed with Corona and since then he has been undergoing treatment at a local hospital in Islamabad. During his treatment, his condition worsened and he was shifted to Vanity Fair where he passed away on Saturday. A total of 354,461 cases have been reported across the country so far, while about 77,109 deaths have been recorded across the country as of Saturday. They should take strict precautions to avoid corona virus

But on the contrary, the people are scattering all the SOPs, which is by no means proof of being a responsible citizen. The government should ensure the implementation of Corona SOPs at all times, not just in offices but in all public places, and take strong measures to achieve the goal that the only way to defeat Corona is to take precautionary measures so far. ۔ The people should also take these precautionary measures while proving to be responsible citizens so that they and their loved ones can be protected from this contagious disease.
