Classes of grades 1-8 to remain closed till Eid

The federal government has decided to close educational institutions until Eid-ul-Fitr in view of the spread of Corona.

A meeting of inter-provincial education ministers chaired by Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood reviewed the situation in Corona in the country.

The meeting decided to close educational institutions from first to eighth grade till Eid due to corona epidemic.

Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood said that classes IX to XII in the affected districts would be skipped for one day so that students could prepare for the board exams.

Shafqat Mahmood said that examinations for class IX to XII would not be held before the last week of May.
