Coordinated efforts are required to make polio campaign successful: Agha Shahnawaz Khan

BADIN: Coordinated efforts are guarantee for the success of campaign against polio.
These views were expressed by Agha Shahnawaz Khan, Deputy Commissioner Badin while chairing an important meeting on polio campaign at Committee Room on Thursday.
Agha Shahnawaz said that the campaign will start from August 02, 2021 to vaccinate over 0.04 million of children of district Badin under the age of five adding that big number of health frontline workers of district respecting COVID-19 safety protocols, will go door-to-door in all five talukas of district across to give polio drops.
DC Badin said the campaign aims to raise the immunity of children that remain at risk of the crippling disease.
Agha Shahnawaz Khan added that round about 0.04 million children of the district will be vaccinated against polio in a district-wide door-to-door vaccination campaign starting from August 2021.
It is an absolute must that all eligible children would stay protected against vaccine preventable diseases including polio and others. It’s every Pakistani’s national duty to ensure that thier own children, as well as those children around them, are administered Polio vaccine without fail,”
Agha Shahnawaz Khan hoped that with the cooperation of the public, community leaders, parents and committed health frontline workers the campaign will remain successful.
He said that polio campaign is imperative to give quick immunity boost to children under the age of five. He stressed the concerned departments and institutes to put thier sincere efforts and assure tangible messures to eradicate the fatal disease adding that to protect the children from diseases is our prime responsiblity.
Agha Shahnawaz Khan also advised the parents to come in coordination with health teams as all children to be ensured for administering the polio drops.
The meeting was held to review and discuss the taken measures for making successful polio campaign in district and participated by Mr. Hussain Lund, ADC-I, Mohammad Younis Lund, Assistant Commissioner Badin, Sarfraz Ahmed Samoon, Information Officer Badin, representatives of health department, NGOs, Indus hospital and IHS.
