DC Badin underlines the need of mass mobilization on human trafficking

BADIN: Agha Shahnawaz Khan, Deputy Commissioner Badin while presiding an important meeting on district Anti-Human Trafficking and Anti Bounded Labour implementation committee her at Badin on the other-day said that there was no any incident reported of human trafficking and bonded labour in Badin district so far however district administration Badin was still taking tangible steps in this regard with the cooperation of law enforcement agencies.

The meeting was participated by Additional Deputy Commissioner-II, Liaqat Lund, DSP Asghar Jutt, Deputy Director Child Protection Abdul Ghaffar Khoso, Deputy Director Information, Muhammad Yaqoob Bhatti & representatives of civil society Badin.

Agha Shahnawaz Khan added that human trafficking and bonded labour was a heinous crime and every possible step would be taken to prevent it so that such incidents to be avoided in the district in future as well, adding he stressed the Assistant Commissioners of all talukas to launch the mass mobilization in this regard.

Adding he apprised the meeting participants that a report on prevention of human trafficking and bonded labour would be submitted every month in his district and a meeting also would be held on every 15 days.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Badin nominated Social Welfare Officer as the Focal Person of the Committee and directed the Deputy Director Information to provide mass awareness on social media including electronic and print media.

Moreover, DC Badin also appreciated the services and taken efforts of local NGOs against Covid-19 and said that the local NGOs cooperated with the district administration in all situations and stood shoulder to shoulder for the public favor.
