GDA Badin rejects facts and figures of rain affectees produced to Federal Committee by Administration

BADINGrand Democratic Alliance (Mirza Group) Badin has rejected the visit conclusion of the Federal Ministers Committee which visited rain-affected areas three days earlier and administration’s progress over relief work, saying that the Government has totally failed to provide relief to the people of the affected areas. 

The candidates of GDA-Mirza group of different wards of Badin Municipal including Riaz Ahmed Tahrani, Abdul Razak Soomro, Karim Bux Soomro, Mudsar Khaskheli, loung Khaskheli and others while holding a press briefing of local journalists at Badin Press Club on Thursday has rejected the facts and figures of relief work produced by local leadership of PPP and administration saying that visit was like to sprinkling salt on wounds of rain affectees instead of providing them sufficient relief and remove their atrocities.

GDA’s councilors challenged the Federal and Provincial governments saying that even today village Haji Hashim Khaskheli, Ward No. 8, Pir Ali Shah’s Kot, railway station, Ward No. 5, Siddique Kumbhar’s Muhla and other low-lying areas of Badin were yet inundated with rain water and people facing dire atrocities.

Adding they affirmed the poor condition of city in view of lack of cleanness saying that due to not mosquito spraying, the foray of mosquitoes and flies has made people’s lives miserable. They said that more than two hundred houses were submerged and some of them collapsed and other hundreds of houses have been partially damaged.

The GDA candidates alleged the Govt officials and PPP’s local leadership in order to get votes in the local election, fake lists were being prepared through a hidden survey in the name of providing assistance to the rain affected people of Badin amid to getting gain.

The candidates of Mirza group Badin appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and Chief Justice of Sindh to take notice of the large-scale misuse of the fund.
