Shikarpur police recover stolen amount

SHIKARPUR: Shikarpur police have succeeded in recovering stolen hefty amount of Rs.80 lacs and 31 thousand from the house of Engineer Riaz Ahmed Daudpoto, in the limits of Lakhi gate police station, here on Monday.
Syed Fazal Shah, Assistant Superintendent of Police Shikarpur, during his press conference held at Lakhi gate police station, revealed that previous late night an incident of theft took place at the house of Engineer Riaz Ahmed Daudpoto and it was reported early in the morning today on Monday when all the family members have gone to attend the marriage ceremony of their relative, ASP said.
Following the information and taking benefit from modern technique including CCTV camera, police have raided at Jhullan Mohalla, the area of city Shikarpur, and recovered all stolen amount Rs. 80 lacs and 31 thousand and arrested one accused Sheeraz Ahmed Pathan and lodged a case 91/2020 under section 457/380 and started the investigation.
Furthermore, suspect Sheeraz Ahmed Pathan committed the crime with the help of one of his friends who was working as a driver with the family of Daudpoto.
Syed Fazal Shah, ASP Shikarpur, termed a big success of Shikarpur police and advised the criminals and outlaws to surrender before police otherwise strict action would be taken against them without any discrimination.
