Need of tolerance in our politics

By: Saira Khali Ali

The country has always had a policy of manipulation, anarchy and blaming opponents, but now it seems to be crossing the line of seriousness and seriousness. Whatever the occasion, it has become commonplace to use it as a source of insult and ridicule to opponents. On Sunday, there was a meeting in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to mark the 13th anniversary of the martyrdom of Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. And it was turned into an opportunity for passionate speeches to make it work. The leaders of the anti-government movement PDM were outraged and highlighted the weaknesses of the ruling class. PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his speech reiterated the ultimatum that if Prime Minister Imran Khan did not resign by January 31, the opposition would march from all corners of the country to Islamabad. Former President Asif Ali Zardari while addressing the people’s Jim Ghafir on video link said that jails will have to be filled to get Imran Khan out of the government. To this end, he advised the PDM to change its mind. PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz scoffed

That PTI was formed by collecting political garbage. He termed the government as selected and said that now the business of selection has to be stopped. Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, secretary general of the JUI, said that if the supporters withdrew their hand, the government would be overthrown. Other leaders made similar scathing speeches, including government spokespersons who were already ready to respond, taking the initiative of the opposition leaders and reiterating the position that the PDM should use national institutions to save looted wealth. Defaming Shahbaz Gul said that Sharif family is number one in political hypocrisy. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the souls of Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto must have been tormented by the arrival of “Princess” in Larkana. Sheikh Rashid said that the root of all mischief is Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the PDM is asking the army to overthrow him but I will not forgive those who commit corruption under any pressure. The rivalry between the government and the opposition is in full swing. Public issues are rarely discussed. The government notes the accuracy of economic indicators and takes “notice” of inflation, but at the same time raises the prices of petrol, gas, electricity and some other essential services from time to time. The opposition criticizes inflation, but its emphasis is on overthrowing the government. As if the PTI government is gone, everything will be fine. The role of both the opposition and the government is equally important in a democratic system of government. The opposition points out the shortcomings of the government and the government rectifies its shortcomings in the interest of the people. Both work to solve the problems of the people, but the struggle for power here is less focused on the sufferings and difficulties of the people, the country’s interest is not to create an atmosphere of political tension and disruption, here the government And both the opposition are trying to provoke each other. The country, which is currently facing internal and external threats, demands that the political temperature be brought down, mutual reservations be removed and an atmosphere of peace and harmony be established.
